Welcome
to 5-Days of Purpose. What you are about to embark upon is probably unlike
anything you've experienced before. Over 5-days and 4-nights through physical,
mental and spiritual adventures you'll experience what God has created for us
here on Earth to better understand your own incredible potential and the
awesome purposes why He has placed you here.
You'll
find EarthTraces is quite different from adventure outfitters. Yes, we have
the equipment and trained leaders - but, everything we do is for a purpose.
There are parallels in each activity with your personal & spiritual life
to be taught. We are a Biblically functioning, non-denominational Christian
organization. We don't focus on items that tend to divide us, knowing that by
just getting outside into Nature you will quickly see the hand of God in all
that is around you. We invite anyone to participate with us to learn more
about themselves and the Earth. Everyone of us you meet is a volunteer. We
come from all walks of life with a passion and purpose of helping you in
"Experiencing the Creation". After doing 5-Days of Purpose, you may
never be the same again.
God
didn't intend for us to stay within the walls of the man-made world. Yes,
there is an element of danger in every activity in Nature. But, you'll find
that EarthTraces uses one or two layers of
redundant (back-up) safety in
everything it does. While some "Extreme Sports" enthusiasts consider
this unnecessary, our goal is to give you a week you'll never forget and only
for good reasons! Our methods may require more equipment and time than others,
but since beginning our programs in 1995, we've never had more than a bump or
scrape on any of our trips. Please understand we take safety seriously - you
can be immediately dismissed from the program for horseplay or other dangerous
actions.
Over
the 5-Days, you'll get to experience a myriad of adventures - rappelling,
rockclimbing, a 1-day "Survivor - Wilderness" teams game, wild
caving and building homes with Habitat for
Humanity. Although we'll be in
nature, we'll have some high-tech equipment along to help communicate lessons
with video and music. We'll have around the campfire and movies under the
stars.
