Rappelling
Experience

Far more
than anything a climbing wall or high ropes course can provide, individuals young and old experience a new understanding of themselves and the world around them through this challenging, yet
safe, adventure outside
the manmade world. You'll learn the importance of commitment, teamwork and faith in accomplishing objectives while
experiencing and enjoying what our Creator has
placed for us in Nature.

Take a day to come with us on this incredible adventure! It's available
on any open date! Program cost per person, including all equipment and
hand-outs is just $23 with a $2-$5 fuel reimbursement ($20 of this being
a tax-deductible contribution to our CIF)! Overnight, multi-day and food
options are also available. Groups, families or individuals are welcome!
Minimum number of program attendees is 12 (however, this is combined
from all groups, families and individuals attending). A $4 fee applies
for group size under 20. For
dates and more information click HERE to check the schedule.

The Leap of Faith ("LOF")
curriculum emphasizes being connected with God, being connected with a
church body and being connected in a small group of believers.
Rappelling is easy and fun for participants of all ages and physical
abilities. The redundant safety procedures used in EarthTraces
activities also makes it safe. No one has ever had more than a bump or
scrape on an EarthTraces LOF experience.

Three key messages are communicated in this, our most popular adventure
program:
| 1. |
It
takes a Leap of Faith to move from seeing and believing the ropes
will hold you safely to actually trusting and committing yourself
to the rappel. The same it true in your walk with Christ. |
| 2. |
It
takes teamwork to see everyone through the rappel - as well as to
build a Church community. |
| 3. |
When
you're on the edge, faith supports! This is true today as you
rappel and everyday as you move through life. |

Program Information
Open to beginners and experts, from 12 to 80. Using the M.A.R.S. (Message,
Activity, Reflection, & Safety) instructional approach, the program
provides a real out of this world journey away from our daily manmade
influences. Participants are gradually moved from simple walk-down rappels to
the "Express", an overhang with nearly 60 or 70 feet of unobstructed
descent! Participants are taught using modern rappelling technique with
redundant safety. The lead safety person, base safety person or participant
can slow or stop the descent whenever needed. To learn more about basic
rappelling technique, click
HERE.

While LOF focuses on the rappelling experience, PARTICIPANTS DO NOT have to
rappel to gain from it. Each site is surrounded by the beauty of nature and no
one is pressured into doing any activity they are not comfortable with. Hikes
and other activities are available for those who may wish to do them. The Leap
of Faith can be enjoyed by anyone - experienced in the outdoors or not as well
those who believe or are still unsure of their faith.
